Associate QA (1+ Years of Proven Experience)

Plan, execute, and validate software tests. Collaborate on design, analyze requirements, and maintain top-tier quality.

Job Responsibilities

Conduct software testing activities, including test planning, execution, and reporting.
Develop and execute test plans and test cases to ensure software quality.
Write and maintain Playwright tests for critical regression flows.
Perform API testing alongside UI testing to verify application functionality and data integrity.
Document and track defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence, ensuring thorough investigation and resolution.
Assist in developing and maintaining test cases, automation scripts, and test data sets. Automate test cases wherever possible to improve efficiency and test coverage.
Prepare test reports and provide daily status updates on testing progress, defects, and blockers.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and provide feedback on design and functionality.
Analyze user stories, requirements, and specifications to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Perform regression testing to ensure new features and enhancements do not negatively impact existing functionality.
Participate in sprint planning and estimation.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Hands-on experience with Playwright using JavaScript or TypeScript for end-to-end test automation.
Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools, including status codes, request and response payloads, authentication, and role-based access.
Basic understanding of Git/GitLab, including branches, merge requests, and reviewing CI pipeline results and test reports.
Experience with ClickUp or Jira for bug tracking and familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflows.
Working knowledge of MongoDB and tools like MongoDB Compass to verify data.
Familiarity with React.js or Next.js applications and the ability to test their functionality.
Experience with functional, smoke, sanity, regression, and exploratory testing.
Ability to perform cross-browser and responsive testing using browser DevTools.
Experience with design QA by comparing implemented UI against Figma designs.
Experience testing role-based access and multi-portal web applications.

‍Additional Skills (Preferred)‍

Experience using AI tools such as Claude to draft test cases, generate test scripts, and assist with bug triage.
Experience with localization testing.
