Manual QA Engineer

Ensure seamless software functionality and adherence to documentation, playing a crucial role in our product development

Job Responsibilities

The Manual QA Engineer must be able to:

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured testing documentation from the beginning.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and perform testing activities.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
  • Liaise with internal teams to identify system requirements, and improve development procedures.
  • Participate in feature discussions and provide feedback before the task is prepared for the developer to ensure there are no unanswered or unnoticed questions/concerns.

  • Capable of seeing tasks through from conception to completion.

Job Requirements

  • Proven work experience in web software quality assurance, 3+ years.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Good knowledge of software development methodology and software lifecycle
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Experience with Git and working with different branches 
  • Testing 3rd-party integrations (payment and marketing providers). English at the upper intermediate level or higher.
  • Previous freelance or remote work experience.
  • Personal Computer with Internet Access
  • Available for occasional video/ audio meetings outside of working hours to overlap with different time zones.

Bonus if you also have:

  • Experience with WordPress.
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing
  • Knowledge and practical experience with MySQL and database structure
  • ISTQB certificate.
  • Experience in Test Automation
